"Bimbo"
Bordercountry's Wild Child NA-II, UT-I

I got Bimbo from Ralph Sobkowicz and his Border Country Kennnels in the summer of 2009. She is out of VC Grouse Points Alexis Marie, bred to VC Sharp Shooters Man In Black. I made a roadtrip to Ralph's with our good friend Howie Hill. I remember having a hard time picking this pup, there was a black roan in that litter that also had my eye. That litter became Ralph's first NAVHDA Natural Ability Breeder Award litter, all the pups doing very well. Bimbo came home with me that day and has gone on to be a great hunting companion, particularly in the grouse woods.

Bimbo began her NAVHDA testing earning a NA prize II, with a nasty pheasant for tracking. I then hunted and guided behind her for several years. She got to be a highly productive bird dog, getting experience on grouse and woodcock, ducks, pheasants, sharptailed grouse, and hungarian partridge. 

Summer of 2013 Nathan Steeber got to be her handler for the NAVHDA Utility test. Nathan did a great job of handling in the field on a day when the wind and weather kicked up a fuss. Bimbo and Nathan finished up the day getting a 201pt. UT prize I. That run qualified her for the 2014 Invitational. I many times regret not entering her in that event. 

Bimbo as been a great personal dog and hunting companion. She has whelped three NAVHDA Natural Ability Breeder Award litters.
