FALL FUN CAST AND BLAST - Hunt and fish in Wisconsin's famous Brule River Valley

McMillan's Troutfitters is now offering guided trips with a half day of fishing for trout and salmon plus a half day of guided hunting for ruffed grouse. Or if you're thinking about a two day trip we'll do a full day of each.

You'll start the day on the river either spin or drift fishing for Steelhead, Salmon and trout on the Brule River. After a break for lunch we'll finish the afternoon in pursuit of the "king of the forest", ruffed grouse.

Our German Shorthaired Pointers will assist you in locating and retrieving the birds. With ruffed grouse populations on the rise there are some excellent shooting opportunities right in the Brule Valley. The dogs may even come to point on a few woodcock in an afternoon. We are excited about offering this new package--"Cast and Blast".

Yellow River Game Farm

I am also working with "Yellow River Garm Farm" owner Kathy Strong, of Barronnett, Wisconsin, offering guided hunts at thier preserve for pheasant, chukar, and quail. There are two different fields to hunt, with a mix of cover from rolling hills to tag alder thickets. There are about 300 acres total on the two fields, plenty to keep you busy in pursuit of your favorite upland birds. They have a comfortable clubhouse, with full facilities, too take a break for lunch or a rest between hunts. In the back room there is a bird cleaning station to help after the hunt. And Kathy is always helpful if you have a young dog that needs exposure to birds or guns.
